Eric F. Spade, Esquire, is a trial attorney with a general practice based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He has extensive experience in state and federal courts across the United States representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, especially in complex litigation.

For more than ten years, Mr. Spade has represented clients in litigation involving breach of contract and business tort claims, corporate bankruptcy claims, civil rights claims, construction law and real estate law claims, employment law and discrimination claims, government contract claims, federal securities law claims, NASD arbitration claims, and insurance defense and personal injury claims.
Mr. Spade also represents individuals being prosecuted in state and federal criminal proceedings. In addition to teaching courses on appellate brief writing and oral advocacy, he has represented clients in cases involving a broad range of issues in proceedings before state and federal appeals courts, including representing entities filing amicus curiae briefs.
After law school, Mr. Spade clerked for the Honorable Monroe G. McKay on the Tenth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals. He then obtained five years of experience in complex, civil litigation while working at a large law firm. Mr. Spade started his own law practice with the goal of providing the same high-quality service as a large law firm, but in a more efficient and cost-effective manner for his clients.
Mr. Spade is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third, the Sixth and the Tenth Circuits; the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey, the Northern District of Ohio, and the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Claims in Washington, D.C. He has a B.A. from American University; a J.D. from Cleveland State University; and, a L.L.M. from the School of Law at New York University.
